PROPOSAL VERSION 1.1A fresh website built around your next chapter
Dear Louis and Aidan,
It is a pleasure to return to Northspan for the next chapter of your website. The site we designed many years ago has served the company well. Now we can bring its design, content and editing tools up to date, with a fresh Squarespace website that reflects your equipment, expertise and work in the field.
We will start with Northspan’s top three business goals for the next three to five years. Those goals will guide the page structure, content recommendations, keyword and AI research, layouts and calls to action.
The proposed investment is $7,350 CAD + GST, including Natasha’s content editing and SEO & AI optimization. We are targeting a December 15–18 launch, provided your complete edited copy is delivered by November 11 and feedback and approvals arrive promptly.
A fresh website built around Northspan’s next chapter.
A modern, approximately 15-page Squarespace website will retain your existing logo and brand identity while introducing updated photography, clearer navigation and useful drill specifications.
Help prospective clients understand Northspan’s capabilities, find the information they need and contact your team.

You are hiring us to guide this process and recommend the final page structure and content direction. Everything comes back to those goals: information architecture, content suggestions, keyword research, AI research, layout and calls to action.
Squarespace provides the foundation for a modern website your staff can keep current. We will preserve your existing logo and brand identity, with a refreshed design for Northspan’s next chapter.
Approximately 15 pages, editable drill specifications and search-focused content built around your business goals.
Lesia Payne and LDD will guide planning with you, translating your top three business goals into an information architecture diagram and page-by-page content recommendations.
Those goals determine the pages and how they connect; what visitors need to understand, compare and act on; keywords and AI questions to research; which messages, specifications, photography and proof points deserve prominence; and the next useful step on each page.
The final structure will be recommended by LDD based on the agreed goals. Anticipated content includes Home; About Northspan with updated leadership and supplied biographies; drilling services; our drills and individual drill package specifications; Canadian service areas; why choose Northspan with approved testimonials and project examples; environment and safety; and Contact.
Useful questions and answers can be added within relevant pages as part of the AI optimization work. They address prospective clients’ questions about your services, equipment and capabilities, helping visitors and search tools understand the information in context.
Retain Northspan’s existing logo and brand identity while updating the visual presentation. Establish typography, colours, buttons, headings and reusable content treatments in a UI kit, then develop an approved homepage draft before completing the remaining pages.
The website will work across mobile, tablet and desktop screens, with clear navigation and calls to action.
Northspan and Aidan prepare page-by-page content, confirm technical accuracy, and provide updated photographs, videos, biographies, testimonials and specifications.
Northspan prepares the content currently held in PDF brochures as part of its supplied website copy. LDD’s information architecture diagram and recommendations show where it belongs and what each page should cover.
Natasha edits and optimizes supplied copy for clarity, search visibility and relevant AI search questions. Northspan confirms technical and factual accuracy.
Full copywriting can be provided at an additional cost, quoted separately if requested.
Research relevant keywords and AI questions around your business goals and Canadian service market. Apply that research to page topics, headings, metadata, supplied-image alternative text, internal links and useful page-specific questions and answers.
Implement appropriate schema where supported and consistent with visible content, and agreed redirects to relevant replacement pages. Initial launch work is included; ongoing campaigns, monitoring and reporting would be separately quoted. Search rankings, AI citations and enhanced search-result displays cannot be guaranteed.
Check layouts, navigation, links, forms and agreed redirects; correct implementation issues within the approved scope; connect the existing domain and coordinate launch. Check existing email-related domain settings when making website connection changes.
Provide practical guidance for routine text, image and drill specification updates. Northspan arranges cancellation of old hosting after launch once it is no longer needed. Email migration is outside this scope.
Budget for your first year of Squarespace.
Budget for the annual Squarespace subscription thereafter.
Continue renewing your existing Northspan domain separately.
These recurring expenses are paid directly by Northspan and are additional to the project price. Subscription amounts are budgeting estimates; current pricing and applicable taxes will be confirmed before purchase.
The milestones below assume an October 12 start. Content preparation, design, editing and development overlap where appropriate.
A December launch is achievable only if Northspan provides its complete edited copy by November 11 at the latest, together with the required assets and timely feedback and approvals.
Identify your top three business goals, establish the page and content direction, and begin the UI kit. Northspan gathers photographs and prepares content.
Approve the website’s visual direction so we can apply it to the homepage.
Target homepage draft approval by November 4, approximately one week after UI kit approval. Complete edited client copy is due November 11.
Approve supplied copy for Natasha’s editing by November 20. Allow approximately two weeks for editing and optimization, overlapping with approximately two weeks of remaining page development.
Allow approximately 3–5 business days for final QA, corrections, domain connection and launch.
Late content, delayed approvals or substantial changes to approved material will require the launch schedule to be adjusted.
The allowances below define the included work. Changes or additions to the approved scope will be quoted separately and approved before work proceeds.
